The Verge notes that web-based xCloud streaming seems to have a limitation in that it only works with Chromium-based browsers such as Google Chrome or Microsoft's own Edge browser In other words, xCloud streaming will not work in Apple's Safari browser

Also, given Apple's restrictions on the streaming services it supports on iOS and macOS, delivering xCloud through the browser would overcome the App Store's limitations, though it might incur Apple's wrath

What is promising here is that many of Xbox's first-party games will appear on Game Pass So if you are struggling to get an Xbox Series X or a less powerful Xbox Series S, xCloud may have you covered

xCloud currently uses servers based on Xbox One S hardware, with upgrades planned for this year However, it may be a temporary fix for those waiting for the Xbox Series X to become more affordable
