Samsung Galaxy S21 leaks are coming fast, with the latest from the leaker Ice Universe detailing that the phone's display will be markedly different from the Galaxy S20 series
Leakers have already reported that the vanilla Galaxy S21 will hinted that it will have a flat display rather than a curved display like many Galaxy S series phones, and only the Galaxy S21 Ultra may have a curved display However, this leak further emphasizes that point
The reason for this prediction is that Ice Universe says that if the Galaxy S21 series opts for a curved display, the new flagship smartphone series could be delayed until the end of February
Ice Universe claims that such a situation is "unlikely," perhaps because previous rumors have suggested that the Galaxy S21 will be released in January Any possible last-minute changes to the phone's design could disrupt this schedule
Samsung often releases phones around late February, but leaked information so far is quite bullish that the Galaxy S21 will be released in January That's because Samsung's aim is to bring a new flagship phone to market in an attempt to take some of the interest away from the new iPhone 12 series, especially the iPhone 12 Pro
Ice Universe seems to be referring here only to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus models, and previous rumors suggest that only the Galaxy S21 Ultra will feature a curved display
Some people feel that curved displays look gorgeous because they essentially have no bezels However, others find curved panels annoying because of the possibility of accidentally tapping the screen
However, the Galaxy S21 phone is expected to feature a "blade bezel" design with an ultra-thin bezel all around the display, not unlike the bezel on the iPhone 12 Such a design would allow the screen to spread out closer to the bezel without giving the user the sensation that it is difficult to grip or will slip out of their hands if they are not careful
However, given that the differences between the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy 20 are not that great, the Galaxy S series may need some design tweaks
Previous rumors suggest that the Galaxy S21 will feature an upgraded Snapdragon 765 chip in the US and China, and an Exynos S2100 in the UK and other regions However, the Exynos 2100 may be a more powerful chip due to its partnership with AMD on the graphics side This would buck the trend of Snapdragon 8 series chips being more powerful than Samsung's own silicon
The Galaxy S21 is expected to have a curved, rectangular camera module that looks like an evolution of the Galaxy S20 Previous leaks indicate that the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus will have three rear cameras with the same specifications as the Galaxy S20, but likely with some improvements in the sensors or at least image processing
The Galaxy S21 Ultra may also have two telephoto cameras, one with 3x zoom and the other with 10x optical zoom
The battery size is expected to be between 4,000 mAh and 5,000 mAh, similar to the Galaxy S20 However, improved battery management technology is expected to maximize the performance of these battery packs
If the Galaxy S21 series is coming in January, we can't wait much longer to see if these leaks and rumors turn out to be true Stay tuned to our Samsung Galaxy S21 hub for all the latest information
