We finally got our hands on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S a little earlier than they were released That means we can finally answer the burning question: how will these new consoles actually look in our living rooms?

As you can see, the PS5 dominates the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S Most surprising, however, is how small the Series S is Let's take a quick look at the size and weight of these consoles

As you have probably heard many times, the PS5 is a truly gigantic gaming console It's about 3 inches tall, nearly twice as long as the new Xbox, but weighs in at 99 pounds, about the same as the Series X When all three game consoles stand up, the PS5 looks like a skyscraper next to two small houses

It should be noted that we were able to fit the PS5 into a fairly standard-sized Ikea entertainment center, but just barely It is worth keeping in mind if space is limited, as the Series X, when placed horizontally, is taller than the PS5

But for space-conscious (and price-conscious) gamers, the $299 Series S may be exactly the console to get True to Microsoft's "smallest Xbox ever" claim, it takes up considerably less space than the slim Xbox One S It will fit into most backpacks without a problem, and will probably fit into a larger handbag or purse (if, for some reason, you need to bring a next-generation gaming console for a night out)

Not surprisingly, the PS5 outperforms all versions of the PS4 Again, the one saving grace about Sony's new console is that it is just over two pounds heavier than the PS4 Pro, so not much extra weight accompanies its massive size

The difference between the Xbox consoles is less dramatic, with the Series X only about a pound heavier than the One X and launch model Xbox One It is even smaller in depth when laid flat than the older Xbox, but it is taller Again, the Series S makes the sleek Xbox One S look bigger
