Google Pixel 5 full specs just leaked - this could be the perfect affordable flagship

Pixel 5 specs have leaked again, answering some of the remaining questions about the device And based on the latest information, and the rumored low price, the Pixel 5 could be one of the best Android phones of the year

The latest details come from Twitter leaker Max Weinbach, and while we've seen Pixel 5 specs leak before, Weinbach's information adds details in several interesting ways

First, Weinbach puts the dimensions of the Pixel 5 at 569 x 277 x 031 inches, or 1446 x 704 x 8 mm; smaller than the 62-inch Samsung Galaxy S20 and 61-inch iPhone 11, which are 90Hz AMOLED We could already almost guess from the 6-inch display with 90Hz AMOLED, but these numbers indicate that it will be the smallest of the premium flagships to be announced this year At least until the 54-inch iPhone 12 Mini makes its appearance

This latest leak also helps clear up some questions about the Pixel 5's battery We have seen rumors claiming that the phone will use a 4,000 mAh battery, while others have said the capacity is 4,080 mAh A recent WinFuture report seems to coincidentally use both

We would like to believe that the slightly larger capacity is correct now, since Weinbach's leak states that the Pixel 5's battery is 4,080 mAh 80 mAh would not make a significant difference in battery life; the Pixel 5's battery is 4,080 mAh However, the largest battery on any Pixel phone to date has been the Pixel 4 XL's 3,700 mAh, so hopefully the addition of 380 mAh will improve the series' mediocre battery life

The Pixel 5's selfie camera, this time housed in a punch-hole notch, is an 8 MP sensor, we have heard from previous leaks; Weinbach added that this sensor is specifically one of Sony's IMX 355 models

Other details revealed by Weinbach we have heard before It includes a rear camera that will be a dual array of a 12MP main sensor and a 16MP ultrawide sensor Weinbach stated in his initial tweet that both cameras would be 12MP, but later corrected himself

The Pixel 4 had a telephoto camera instead of an ultrawide camera, but Google decided to replace the sensor rather than add a third camera on the back of the phone This may have been done as a cost-cutting measure, as Google is rumored to be selling the Pixel 5 at an affordable price of $600-$700

This also has to do with Google's choice of chipset: at the heart of the Pixel 5 is not the Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865 Plus like most flagship Android phones released this year, but the Snapdragon 765G will be used This chip is cheaper and maintains 5G compatibility, but has lower performance

Finally, according to this leak, the Pixel 5 will have 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is nearly identical to the lower-end flagships Interestingly, this appears to be the only configuration available, or at least the default configuration

Google plans to officially unveil the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G at an event on September 30 Other new products like the new Chromecast 4 "Sabrina" can also be expected, but Google's thoroughly revamped flagship phone will be the star of the show as far as we are concerned
