Apple One appears to be the official name of Apple's upcoming subscription bundled service, which may be announced next week or at the same time as the iPhone 12
Credit for this discovery goes to 9to5Google, who found further evidence of Apple One's existence in the 340 beta version of the Apple Music Android app
A code string found within the app, codenamed "aristotle," reveals that Apple Music will be included in the bundle It also reveals that existing users will be able to integrate their existing Music memberships into Apple One, eliminating the need to cancel or pay twice for the same service
Unfortunately, it does not appear to be possible to edit subscriptions from the Android app Instead, the text in the APK file instructs to use "your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac" Otherwise, this could be very inconvenient for Android users
We had previously seen evidence of Apple One thanks to a report from Bloomberg back in August It combines Apple's current subscription services, including Apple TV Plus, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and Apple News Plus, into a single payment, which is much more convenient for those who are immersed in Apple's premium services It is much more convenient for those who are heavily immersed in Apple's premium services
There also appear to be several tiers, with the cheapest tier consisting of Music and TV, and the next two tiers adding Arcade and News Plus There may also be an option to bundle iCloud, Apple's premium storage option
Apple is hoping that these bundling options will encourage users to sign up for multiple services they might not otherwise want to use Pricing has not yet been announced, but we will know for sure when Apple releases the full version of iOS 14 this fall
Next week's Apple event is likely to be about the Apple Watch 6 and iPad Air 4 iPhone 12 information or a teaser may be announced, but Apple is expected to hold a second event in October dedicated to its new flagship smartphone expected to be held in October
Major changes rumored for the Apple Watch 6 include a new case design that will eliminate the digital crown, a new optical sensor for navigating menus, and improved health measurement with SpO2 blood oxygen tracking 4th generation iPad Air model will feature a new case design similar to the iPad Pro and the A14X chipset for improved performance
