Samsung Galaxy Note 20 leak confirms major camera specifications just before launch

Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 may debut tomorrow (August 5), but the leaks keep coming The latest leaks offer a closer look at the rear and front cameras that will be featured on both the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

The camera information comes from phone leaker Evan Blass and is likely to be fairly solid The leak includes images of the Note 20 and Note 20 Plus, with all cameras labeled for easy reference; while not contradicting previous rumors about the Note 20's camera, it is a quick glance at what Samsung is planning for the new phablet's optics It is a useful reference if you want to know what Samsung is planning for the optics of its new phablet

According to this graphic, which we believe is in Italian, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will have a 108 megapixel main sensor with an f/18 aperture This is the same main camera Samsung uses on the Galaxy S20 Ultra

The Note 20 Ultra's other lenses will be different from the S20 The leaked graphic mentions a 12MP wide-angle lens (f/2l2) and a 12MP telephoto lens (f/30) In addition, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has an autofocus laser sensor, presumably to address the focus issues that plagued the S20 Ultra This sensor is located on the right side of the Note 20 Ultra's camera array, between the LED flash and the microphone

The standard Note 20 does not have an autofocus sensor and has different camera specifications According to the label on the photo, there is a 12MP main sensor here Additional lenses include a 12MP ultra-wide angle shooter and a 64MP telephoto lens These are the same specifications as the three cameras on the back of the Galaxy S20 Plus, right down to the aperture

There is also a front camera that appears to be identical on both the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra According to leaks, both models will have a 10MP dual pixel lens on the front

Again, this is all consistent with what we've heard about the Note 20's camera leading up to the August 5 Unpacked event, when Samsung is almost certain to unveil the new model It is also consistent with Samsung's practice of reusing lenses introduced when it introduced the Galaxy S in early spring for the Galaxy Note update

Subsequent tweets by Blass include additional photos that hint at Note 20 features They include a 21:9 aspect ratio for the display and integration with Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service, which is coming to Android devices in September Earlier rumors suggested that Note 20 buyers would get a three-month subscription to the streaming game service along with the phone
