Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 will not have a periscope-like telephoto camera, a leaked case for the upcoming flagship phone has revealed
Ice Universe has released images of a case for the Galaxy Note 20 This gives us the best look yet at the size and shape of the sensor
The three large cutouts on the left side are probably the three cameras, while the smaller holes on the right side are probably the flash module and depth sensor
All notches are round, indicating that there is no periscope camera here The periscope sensor apertures are square, to make room for a mirror to increase zoom capability In other words, unless Samsung radically changes the design of these sensors, it is safe to say that the Note 20 will not have them
This does not mean no telephoto lens at all However, there probably won't be a 4x magnification like the Galaxy S20 Ultra or a 5x magnification like the Huawei P40 Pro The standard Note 20 will likely have the 64MP 3x telephoto camera found on the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus
If you want a Note 20 with a periscope lens, you may still be in luck We expect the higher-end Note 20 Ultra to feature a 50x zoom camera We are not certain if this is a periscope lens, but given that the maximum zoom is so high, it is very likely that this is an improved version of the S20 Ultra's camera
Another change revealed by these clippings is the slot for the S Pen stylus, which has moved from the right side of the Galaxy Note 10 to the left side on the Note 20
Other rumored details of the Note 20 series include a Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, a 120Hz refresh rate display, and a new S Pen with refreshed features We expect it could debut in August along with the Galaxy Tab S7 tablet; the Galaxy Fold 2 was also expected to be announced around this time, but new rumors suggest that it will have its own launch event in September
