Not far from the next Samsung Unpacked event, the Galaxy Watch 3 wearable is not doing a great job of waiting until showtime Earlier this week, a fairly clear photo of the Galaxy Watch 3 was leaked, and now it's here again - this time in "bronze"
Now, you may be scratching your head and wondering if we're looking at the same photo But Evan Blass (who leaked this image via his Patreon) is adamant that Samsung is calling this a bronze
If bronze isn't your thing, don't worry; Blass shared another photo of a more traditional black watch a few hours ago
Aside from the color, there may be one other thing immediately noticeable: the bronze model has smooth edges on the bezel, whereas the black version appears to be a bit more contoured; Blass notes that the sizes of the two are different (41mm for the bronze model, 45mm for the black), 45mm for the black model), which makes one wonder if Samsung is planning several flavors, as it did with the Gear S3 smartwatch
You may recall that at the time, Samsung released a "Classic" version alongside the more rugged "Frontier" model There was no difference in specs, only in looks and weight This was an implicit acknowledgement that a watch's appearance was as important as its performance
The second photo has an interesting detail at the end: as Blass himself points out, July 22 this year falls on a Wednesday Does this mean that Samsung plans to surprise us with an early announcement?
Everything we've heard previously points to "no," but then, Samsung's next Unpacked event is already in the works, with the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Tab S7 already scheduled to be part of the proceedings It looks pretty packed Would it really be odd if Samsung decided to space out the Galaxy Watch 3 with an early reveal?
Unfortunately, we're lost here Samsung has previously been known to announce products outside of official Unpacked events, and the Tab S6 was scheduled to be announced at Samsung's official 2019 event, but they decided to announce it a week early to give space to the Note 10 In fact, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 did not get its own event either - so it is possible that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Watch 3 early
