Samsung Galaxy Note 20 leak has just revealed all of its cameras

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus' rear camera has leaked, revealing a few surprises

Camie Ngo on Twitter captioned the image and claimed that it was indeed the camera cluster of the upcoming Galaxy Note 20; Ngo is not well known for her smartphone leaks, but this leak was supported by Ice Universe and Max Weinbach, and they have stated that this is most likely the rear camera array of the Note 20 Plus

The block is rectangular and appears to be from the Galaxy S20 series, not last year's Galaxy Note 10 There are three main camera sensors in it, probably the same trinity of main (wide), ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras as on the Note 10, with the telephoto using a periscope lens based on the rectangular shape of one of the apertures

Other rumors suggest that the Note 20 series will not have the 100x zoom "space zoom" feature of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, but will have the smaller 3x optical zoom camera of the Galaxy S20 or Galaxy S20 Plus, or an entirely new sensor There is also a possibility that it will be equipped with an entirely new sensor

There are three more notches on the sides of these cameras The small round one seems to be for the rear microphone, which could be used for "audio zoom" like the Note 10, and the larger round one could be a flash or a time-of-flight sensor for improving photo effects or for use in AR apps

What is less certain is what the large rectangle could be used for; Weinbach suggests this could be the autofocus sensor recently mentioned by Ice Universe, as the Galaxy S20 Ultra has slow and jumpy autofocus, The high spec camera array was heavily criticized for being difficult to use, but a software update resolved this issue; the additional sensor that the Note 20 is expected to have should solve this problem right from the start, making the camera much easier to use

The Note 10 has a 16MP main sensor with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom on the back, while the Note 10 Plus adds a time-of-flight sensor

In our review, these cameras were able to take impressive pictures, but not enough to make it one of the best camera phones The same goes for the Galaxy S20 series released earlier this year, which performs well but not as well as the iPhone 11 Pro

The Note 20, along with the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, is expected to make an appearance at the online-only Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in August But there is more to both models than their cameras Both models are expected to inherit several features from the Galaxy S20 series, including the S Pen stylus, a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 865 chipset, and 5G support by default
