It's time to party! Fortnite's Deadmau5 and Steve Aoki concert officially kicks off the game's new social, non-violent Party Royale mode

With the Coronavirus pandemic forcing many people to live in shelters, multiplayer games like "Fortnite" have become a quasi-social hub where people can gather while indoors To that end, Epic Games has devised a Fortnite Party Royale mode and plans to host large-scale live music events within the hugely popular game

Party Royale is based on Fortnite's Battle Royale, but strips away all the guns and building mechanics, leaving players on a peaceful island just to socialize and participate in virtual activities like skydiving and boat races But there will also be a huge main stage where real-world artists will perform Deadmau5, Dillon Francis, and Steve Aoki will take the stage at the Party Royale premiere

The live event is open to the public as soon as it begins and can be attended at any time until it ends Simply select "Party Royale" in the "Fortnite Battle Royale" playlist and go to Party Island from there

If you are new to Fortnite, you can download and play for free on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, Android, and Mac
