The Google Pixel4a camera sample is impressive - and that's bad for the iPhone SE

The Google Pixel 4a is not yet available, but Apple's new iPhone SE 2020 should be concerned about its rival's camera

That's because Julio Lusson of Cuban tech site TecnoLike Plus (via 9to5Google) tweeted a comparison of two photos of the Redmi Note 7 on the right and the Pixel 4a on the left in the tweet below And the Pixel 4a photo looks very impressive for a budget priced phone

If what you see in these images is indeed the handiwork of the Pixel 4a, then Google has a worthy successor to the Pixel 3a despite the Redmi using a 48MP sensor compared to the Pixel's 122MP sensor, the Redmi's low It produces much better color than the Redmi in both low-light and outdoor photography

The Pixel 4a was originally scheduled to debut at Google's I/O developer conference later this month, but this has now been canceled However, we expect some sort of virtual launch for the device

The new iPhone SE launched in April and was greeted very warmly, with one 12MP rear sensor that is almost identical to the Pixel 4a However, Google has always focused on the photography capabilities of its phones, and the Pixel 4a is likely to be the phone of choice for those on a smaller budget who want to take the best photos

One area where the Pixel 4a should outperform the iPhone SE is low light the iPhone SE lacks the night mode found on the iPhone 11, but the Pixel 4a should continue to have Google's impressive night sight feature This should give Google's device a significant advantage in dimly lit situations

TecnoLike Plus previously posted a hands-on look at a Pixel 4a prototype, and such photo leaks are not without precedent However, it is worth remembering that, as is the case with Lusson's Pixel 4a, such leaks and photographic results may be of a prototype In other words, don't assume that this represents the final product, as the final version you can buy may differ in several ways

There is no official launch event scheduled for the Pixel 4a, but for now there are plenty of rumors about a new, less expensive Pixel It will stay in the same $399 price range (currently shared with Apple's amazing iPhone SE 2020), but will feature a Snapdragon 730 CPU, 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage, a punch-hole 8MP selfie camera, a 581-in and a punch hole is a first for the Pixel series, with upgrades like an OLED display

In other words, the Pixel 4a will beat the iPhone SE in screen size and photographic prowess, and the iPhone SE should win in power with its A13 Bionic chip However, the same chip's image signal processor is capable of taking great photos in sufficient ambient light I look forward to the photo showdown between these two models
