Google Pixel4a video reveals all the specs: Here's what you get

In just a few days, we've gone from knowing only a little about the Google Pixel 4a to knowing a lot And with a new video leak released overnight via YouTuber TecnoLike Plus, it's beginning to look like Google won't be keeping any more secrets about its upcoming low-cost Pixel

The 7-minute video (courtesy of 9to5Google) gives us a look at the Pixel 4a prototype from all angles, as well as a glimpse at the basic specs and Android 10 running in real time

While we usually cast a healthy skeptical eye on most smartphone leaks, this leak is comprehensive and credible

The design of the device is consistent with previous renders and leaked photos we have seen, from the perforated selfie camera in the upper left corner to the matte plastic body adorned with a Pixel Imprint biometric scanner and a square single lens camera patch

From the front, the design looks like a cross between the iPhone 11 and the latest Pixel, given the uniform bezels around the display In some ways, it looks more advanced and premium than the (presumably) much more expensive Pixel 4

But what is particularly new and relevant in this leak are the specs, starting with the Pixel 4a's processor

According to the AIDA64 app, the device in the video, codenamed "Sunfish," has a Snapdragon 730 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage That 6GB RAM is more generous than the 4GB suggested in previous rumors and should go a long way toward keeping the Pixel 4a fast and responsive over its lifetime

If you've been following the leaks surrounding the Pixel 4a closely, the name Sunfish will sound familiar It also appears to have a 3,080mAh battery, a 58-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 and a conventional 60Hz refresh rate

Although not visible in the TecnoLike video, the Pixel 4a should also have a headphone jack on the left side of the top edge, according to images released earlier this week The camera appears to have a 12-megapixel sensor, and if history repeats itself, we can expect flagship-class photos

One open question is whether Google will offer a larger Pixel 4a XL variant this time, as it did with the Pixel 3a series

The device is reportedly codenamed "Bramble," but is surprisingly reluctant to offer a camera Rumors suggest that Google may ditch the XL option for a mid-range device in 2020, and it appears that the regular Pixel 3a outsold the 3a XL by far last year

The Pixel 4a was highly anticipated to be revealed at the annual Google I/O developer conference, but Google canceled that event That means it is unclear when the Pixel 4a will make its official appearance; given that the Pixel 3a debuted at I/O last May, we expect to know more details in the next two months
