After years of speculation and rumors, OnePlus has finally released its first smartwatch, the aptly named OnePlus Watch We at Tom's Guide liked the wearable device very much in our review of the OnePlus Watch, but other media outlets were less than impressed

The company did not say when the Watch will get an always-on display and 12-hour watch face, only that they will be available in a future OTA update These upcoming updates will also enable 110 workout modes, an AI watchface, and add German, Italian, Spanish, and Polish language support

In her review of the OnePlus Watch, staff writer Kate Kozuch said she liked the responsiveness and ease of use of RTOS (which the OnePlus Watch uses instead of Wear OS) She was also impressed with the battery life, easily hitting the two weeks promised by OnePlus

However, the lack of iPhone support and key features are holding the OnePlus Watch back Nevertheless, it is clear that the company plans to address some of these weaknesses in future updates

Despite these shortcomings, the OnePlus Watch is a worthy first attempt It is sleek, user-friendly, and its battery life trumps those of the Wear OS, Tizen, and watchOS families
