Samsung Galaxy A55 may look a lot like the Galaxy S24, according to leaked images

A new leak recently gave users their first look at the Samsung Galaxy A55 The leaked information comes from MySmartPrice and OnLeaks and seems to take some cues from the Galaxy S24 and its predecessor, the A54

The rendered image is by MySmartPrice and OnLeaks and is based on a leaked schematic of the upcoming phone, which appears to be made of polished metal, possibly aluminum, an upgrade from the A54's plastic frame

This metal bump means that the expected size of the phone is 1611 x 773 x 82 mm (634 x 30 x 032 inches) This is larger than the previous A54, which was 62 x 30 x 032 inches The question is whether the inclusion of the bump will make the A55 slightly less comfortable to hold, or whether it will be noticeable

The screen is reportedly a 65" flat display with an Infinity-O front camera in the center The Infinity camera design is one of the Samsung brand's staples, with a smaller camera presence allowing for a more seamless screen profile The device is expected to feature Full HD+ resolution (2,220 x 1,080 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate

The Samsung Galaxy A55 appears to have a SIM card port and a USB-C charging port on top of the phone There is no headphone jack in sight, so prospective buyers will need to purchase Bluetooth headphones or an adapter

The A55 could come with a very reasonable 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage The device is also said to feature an Exynos 1480 chipset and AMD GPU, which would be a straight upgrade to the A54 According to leaks, the A55's battery will be 5,000mAh and will support 25W fast charging

Finally, the leaked information elaborates somewhat on the camera that may be featured on this phone The vertically aligned camera array on the back has a 50MP main lens and a 12MP ultra-wide option Finally, there is also a 5MP macro sensor and a 32MP front camera This is a reasonable layout, although the cameras may have a hard time competing with the more powerful smartphone cameras on the market

If the leaks are correct, the A55 appears to be very similar to the current A54 However, a more powerful chipset would certainly indicate some improvements Currently, the weight of the phone is not known But if it does contain metal, it will likely weigh more than the A54's 71 ounces

It is important to take image leaks with a grain of salt, as there could be changes or delays affecting the phone's appearance and accessories There is no indication as to when the A55 will be released to the public However, given that many of the A-series models were released around that time, one would assume sometime in March
