Last week, Nothing teased new earbuds on social media and promised to reveal more details in a community update on April 18 However, Nothing revealed that it will be launching two pairs of earbuds
First up will be an entirely new set of Nothing Ear earbuds, which will officially drop the generation number and will no longer be called Nothing Ear 3; Nothing will also follow the same naming convention as the lower-priced Nothing Phone 2a, with the Nothing Phone (a Nothing will also launch a set of lower-priced earphones called Nothing Phone (a), following the same naming convention as the lower-priced Nothing Phone 2a
At present, it is not known what the difference is between these two earphone sets It is also unclear if both earbuds will be available in the US With low-priced phones, that is never a guarantee, and we saw that firsthand when the Nothing Phone 2a was launched through a developer program rather than receiving a general big release
It is worth noting that the Nothing Ear 2 earbuds released last year were $149; we expect the Nothing Ear (2024) to be similarly priced, but if Nothing keeps the same $149, the Ear (a)bad price is $100 or so
Nothing claims that its philosophy is "a premium for all, not a market price" In other words, it suggests that the Ear (a) Bud will have some premium features At the very least, it will have the same premium design as the original Nothing Ear 1 buds released in 2021
Both buds are scheduled to officially launch on April 18, and we will no doubt learn all that both pairs have to offer then
