The series, which has a rare 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, follows an all-female Islamic punk rock band called the Lady Parts as they navigate life, love, friendship, and artistic integrity in contemporary London while trying to find their next gig The film depicts

The first season follows Amina, a science-focused doctoral student who is recruited as the lead guitarist for the Lady Parts Despite her initial hesitation to join the band, Amina integrates into the band relatively quickly, gets into a groove with her bandmates, and learns that she cares not only about herself but also about the community

After writing the anthemic "Public Warning" at the end of Season 1, Season 2 opens with Lady Parts on a high note with a new artistic vision and their first UK tour

Filled with creative energy, the band begins work on their first album However, disagreements over the direction the band should take soon arise, and after stressful studio sessions, debates over what "success" means to the band, and new competition from rival groups, the Lady Parts find themselves at their biggest crossroads to date
