The app replaces TCL's previous app and is intended to provide a richer and more diverse viewing experience Users can now access more programming without the need for a subscription, making it a cost-effective option for those seeking richer content options tcltv Plus expands streaming options and makes them more accessible, giving customers TCL's strategy of providing value and convenience to its customers by broadening their streaming options and making them more accessible

Mark Chang, president of TCL North America, said: “Roku offers a superior user interface and seamless viewing experience, and we are excited to take the next leap in TCL's dynamic growth storyOur partnership with Roku is a natural fit for TCL, and we look forward to working with them as we continue to expand the reach of TCLtv Plus, TCLtv Plus firmly establishes TCLtv Plus as a powerful force in the streaming ecosystem”

With 350 new free streaming channels, you may be wondering what you can actually watch on the app The selection includes the usual suspects: Live TV for sports news and live events, movies, TV shows, documentaries, and special channels for lifestyle, cooking, travel, and more

However, there are also other FAST (free ad-supported TV) options with categories like TCL Holiday, true crime, gameshows, lifestyle and reality, and history

Specifically, you can find old classics like “Murder She Wrote” or a handful of series like “Cold Case Files” If you want something more casual, “Fear Factor,” “Family Feud,” and “Deal or No Deal” are popular game shows

Of note, however, is TCLtv Plus Studio, which aims to produce AI-generated films using tools like Pika Labs, Runway, and Midjourney By focusing on artificial intelligence, the studio is able to produce “unique” content and leverage advanced technology to create visually compelling and creative cinematic experiences However, despite this sounding glamorous, the results have so far been less than stellar (and actually rather interesting)

“Next Stop Paris,” which is essentially experimental, is TCL's first AI-generated film, centered on two people who fall in love in Paris The trailer is a spooky valley of all kinds, and users should expect to see more “movies” like this in the app

TCLtv Plus is available in the US and Canada, with no plans yet to launch in the UK and Australia
