Buffalo Bill has kidnapped and murdered women, and Clarice is tasked with stopping him before he kills again Dr Lecter provides valuable, if manipulative and dangerous, insight into the killer's psyche, but in exchange he explores Clarice's personal trauma The film delves deeply into the psychology of manipulation, fear, power, and both the killer and law enforcement
