Top 10 Prime Video Movies - Here are 3 worth watching now

Prime Video's Top 10 has recently been swapped out, with new originals and fan-favorite library titles making the streaming service's most-watched list

However, the bland noir thriller “Killer Heat” continues to hold the #1 spot On Rotten Tomatoes, it scores an abysmal 15% So, to avoid wasting precious movie-viewing time with movies that should be skipped instead of streamed, I'll pick my favorites from the current Prime Video Top 10 (as of 5 am ET on Friday, October 11)

These films run the gamut from shocking violent horror slashers to wonderfully warm family adventures This fantasy film features a young girl named Bo (Kaylee Fleming) who moves into her grandmother's New York apartment after her father falls ill There she discovers the ability to see people's imaginary friends and teams up with an eccentric man named Cal (Ryan Reynolds) to reunite these strange imaginary creations with grown children who have forgotten about them

“IF” features the voice talents of Steve Carell, who plays the big purple furball known as Blue, and a variety of famous vocalists as imaginary friends, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emily Blunt, George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, and many others The film has been well received by audiences of all ages Older audiences may find “IF” a little too sappy, and the story is almost unbearably predictable (the “twist” in the third act is almost comically obvious), but thanks to its gentle humor and sweet message about embracing your inner child and the importance of a good heart

It remains a very solid family-friendly film

Before discussing “Terriformer 2,” I feel I must give a firm warning to potential viewers that this film is not for the faint of heart I have seen everything from “Saw” to “Hostel” without a problem, but “Terrifier 2” pushes the limits of my acceptable gore depiction There are some terribly disturbing atrocities in this film, and if you are not a fan of dealing with ultra-violence, I recommend that you stay away from “Terrifer” because it is covered in blood and guts

But if you have a strong stomach, “Terrifer 2” is essentially a modern cult classic, taking all the potential found in its predecessor and expanding everything to be bigger, better, and bloodier Sadistic killer Art the Clown returns after being presumed dead in the first “Terrifier”

“Challenger” was released in April, and while I've seen dozens of movies in theaters since then, the 2024 release still haunts me months later This clever sports drama is more compelling than most thrillers, and it is truly remarkable that director Luca Guadagnino manages to make the intense game of tennis feel like high stakes, both on a literal and metaphorical level By the end of “Challengers,” you will feel as if you have played a full set at Wimbledon

Like many romantic dramas, “Challengers” focuses on a very complex love triangle between three well-drawn characters, Tashi (Zendaya), Patrick (Josh O'Connor), and Art (Mike Feist) The film begins with Art, a former world champion tennis player who is stuck in a losing streak To solve this problem, his coach and wife, Tashi, puts him in a low-ranked tournament where he is the favorite to win However, things get complicated when Art's former best friend and Tashi's ex-boyfriend, the maverick athlete Patrick Zweig, comes up against him
