Are you ready for another thrilling season of “Wednesday” During Geeked Week 2024, Netflix released a teaser for the highly anticipated “Wednesday” Season 2 While not an official trailer, it gives us our first look at the action along with some behind-the-scenes footage
Season 2 promises to be even “bigger” and “more twisted” than before as Wednesday Adams (Jenna Ortega) leads us deeper into the mysteries of Nevermore Academy From the teaser, things are about to get weird This should come as no surprise, considering that in Season 1's wild finale, Wednesday uncovered his stalker and narrowly escaped a deadly confrontation with the monstrous Tyler (Hunter Doohan)
As we enter Season 2, it seems Wednesday's troubles are far from over From confronting unknown threats with fire torches to “playing dolls” while holding an intensely shaped knife, Wednesday is as creepy as ever But it looks like we'll finally get more scenes of her mysterious and creepy family, including her parents Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzman) Check out the teaser below:
I think most of us can agree that waiting for an update on “Wednesday” Season 2 is hard While the next season is in production, not much has been revealed about where the story is headed We can, however, speculate from the new teaser and the conclusion of Season 1
At the end of Season 1, Wednesday's love interest Tyler is revealed to actually be the serial killer monster responsible for the Nevermore Academy murders He is being controlled by Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci), a descendant of the Gates family, and Gates is posing as the academy's teacher, Dr Thornhill
Laurel's plan is to resurrect her ancestor Joseph Crackstone and destroy the outcasts Wednesday, with the help of her friends, defeats both Laurel and Crackstone in a climactic battle and foils the plot But the season ends mysteriously, as Wednesday receives a message from an unknown stalker, warning of more danger to come In Season 2, as Wendesday confronts more enemies (and maybe Tyler somehow escapes incarceration?), “the world is about to get a whole lot more dangerous
So it seems that the show will continue to explore the spooky mysteries surrounding Wednesday Adams while at Nevermore Academy, and when “Wednesday” season 2 was renewed in January 2023, the show promised more “torture” awaited in a short but sweet announcement video promised more “torture” awaits
What we do know is that Season 2 will hit the small screen sometime in 2025 Until then, why not rewatch the first season of “Wednesday” on Netflix? Also check out the 7 best Netflix movies you probably haven't seen yet
