According to Bloomberg, Disney Plus is expanding its streaming horizons with the launch of four new live channels later this year These “always-on” channels are expected to increase subscriber retention by making the viewing experience more vibrant and engaging and lowering churn rates

These channels will be available only to Premium subscribers on ad-free plans, and content will be updated monthly The move builds on Disney's recent venture into continuous live streaming, following the debut earlier this month of a 24/7 channel dedicated to ABC News and Disney Junior

Disney Plus President Alisa Bowe said the channel is like a playlist for viewers: “The playlist is the latest example of how we provide the best value and experience every time a subscriber opens Disney Plus With news, children's content, popular genres, hit TV shows, blockbuster movies, and more, there will be something for everyone in a lean, season- and interest-based viewing experience"
