Netflix is losing its best mystery thriller movies

I honestly didn't have high hopes for the A24 film “Bodies Bodies Bodies” I'm not a big fan of teen slashers with their comical timing and heavy use of Gen Z slang, but the murder mystery aspect intrigued me However, I was intrigued by the murder mystery aspect It is currently available on Netflix, but will not be for very long as the streaming service is scheduled to end soon

Of course, given that this is a classic murder mystery, I don't want to spoil it But while it may not be a groundbreaking new addition to the genre, it does have entertainment value, with interesting character reactions and a shocking ending

With the imminent end of distribution from Netflix, now is the perfect time to watch this wildly entertaining film If you're in the mood for a funny and gripping film, “Bodies Bodies Bodies” is one you should experience at least once With a storm raging outside, they decide to play a murder mystery game called “Bodies Bodies Bodies” The game quickly descends into chaos when one of the participants is actually found dead [Paranoia and distrust ensue as friends, each with their own secrets and grudges, turn against each other And they realize that the real danger is not the storm outside, but the deception and betrayal within their own ranks

“Body, Body, Body” is a movie you only need to see once It may not be the greatest film ever made, but it is certainly a very enjoyable film Rachel Sennott's performance as Alice stands out the most Even though Alice is not the main character, she provides some of the film's most memorable laughs

And kudos also go to the two leads: Sophie (Amandla Stenberg) and Bee (Maria Bacalova) They have undeniable chemistry as a couple, and their loyalty to each other is tested throughout the film as accusations are thrown at them from left and right Their performances add depth and intensity to the film, and truly ground the film without flattening the mystery of “who is the culprit?”

This is why I truly appreciate films that embrace fun and do not take themselves too seriously There is something refreshing about a film that is content to simply be entertaining, while many films pursue high drama and deep themes Body, Body, Body excels in this regard, and it is unpretentious and enjoyable It reminds us that sometimes it's better not to take things too seriously

Of course, there are some drawbacks that need to be mentioned before diving into the chaos The main one is that the film struggles to balance strong horror elements with comedy, sometimes leaning too much on one side at the expense of the other And there is also the occasional clichéd line of dialogue that would make anyone fed up, but that probably adds to the film's ridiculous humor

Despite these flaws, however, the film has a distinct spirit and (literally) stormy atmosphere that gives it a unique charm Rotten Tomatoes gave it a high score of 86%, with an audience rating of 69% Ella Kemp of Empire Magazine summed up the film perfectly: “Tense when it needs to be and terribly entertaining throughout Stupidity reigns in these rich kids, but the filmmakers are smart enough to land “Bodies Bodies Bodies”

If you're looking for a movie that builds the perfect amount of suspense with sharp humor, don't miss “Bodies Bodies Bodies” However, it will not be available forever, as it will end distribution on September 19

With fun performances, especially from Stenberg, Bakalova, and Sennott, and a playful yet intense story, this is the perfect film for anyone looking for something engaging and entertaining Don't be deterred; check out this new action thriller just out on Netflix We also have a guide to the best Netflix shows available for streaming right now
