Google TV's free channel lineup has been expanded to include 10 more channels, including Family Feud Classic and FilmRise True Crime
StreamingBetter discovered some of the new free channels back in March, but they were underwater at the time Now 9to5Google has discovered two more, Family Feud Classic and RigTV The complete list includes Cheaters, CBC News and Explore, Court TV Legendary Trials, Family Feud Classic, FilmRise Horror, FilmRise True Crime, Grit Xtra, Heartland, Laff More, and Rig TV are included
These channels primarily expand the existing selection offered by the free, ad-supported streaming TV channels built into Google TV, known as FAST channels For example, other FilmRise channels are already offered, including one for new Family Feud episodes, in addition to new channels dedicated to past seasons
These new channels can be checked out by heading to the Live tab in Google TV and selecting Google TV from the Free built-in channels section These channels are a great addition, but are limited to US Google TV users
The platform has grown steadily in recent months, adding more than 10 free channels in June, including Ion Plus, Johnny Carson TV, and The FBI Files At launch, Google offered about 80 FAST channels; that number has now grown to more than 130
At this rate, Google's selection of FAST channels will grow even more in the future And of course, along with Google's FAST channels, Google TV also gives viewers access to some of the best free streaming services on the market, like Pluto TV, Tubi, and Plex
The next big update should come in September, when the Google TV Streamer box launches, and promises to bring several improvements, including picture-in-picture mode support and accessibility features Given the rumors so far, it has a good chance of ranking among the best streaming devices
