That night, Tosh attends a friend's birthday party and witnesses an argument between two married friends, Annie and Ian Bett. Their nine-year-old son Noah tells Tosh that his parents have separated. Annie makes an appointment to meet with Tosh the next morning. Annie and Noah stay with John Harris, a mussel farmer, and his sons Patrick and Fergus. However, when Tosh arrives the next morning, Annie's car is nowhere to be found and her phone is not answered. Where are Annie and Noah?
