Apple may have canceled the Apple ring of many rumors, or Cupertino Company can still develop a potential wearable. Who knows.
Now we are leaning, Apple is designing a smart ring.
The latest rumors come from South Korean blogging platform Naver.yeux1122 revealed that Samsung could accelerate the release timeline for the Samsung Galaxy Ring2. At the end of their post, they briefly said that Apple is working on its version of the smart ring and smart glass
"Apple is also still developing ring-type wearables, and recently detected attempts to develop band-type and smart glass-type wearable devices.""
There is not much more information.
The rumors surrounding the Apple Ring are incredibly vague and are mostly based on speculation. Allegedly, Apple sent a survey to employees on May 9 that teased the smart ring. Another survey reportedly with similar questions was revealed on May 10 as well.
Both smart rings and potential smart glasses are tipped to launch in 2026, or perhaps 2027.
Apple is behind Samsung in the wearable field on rings, but the company has also just received a patent for embedding sensors in watch bands and headbands, signaling the potential expansion of the company's wearable line.
Meanwhile, Apple whispers itself, Bloomberg's Mark Garman, claimed in his power in a newsletter from May that Apple does not actually plan to launch the ring.
"Apple is not actively developing the ring and has no plans to launch it," he wrote. "[It] undermines the Apple Watch.
He added that Apple "still has room to grow and has no reason to cannibalize products that are the envy of the fitness tracking industry."
Garman usually draws considerable attention to his predictions and rumors. So we really need to consider his information. As we've seen with the Samsung Galaxy Ring, the Apple Ring can be easily integrated into the Apple health tracking ecosystem. And rings may be a desirable form factor compared to watches that can sometimes feel awkward.
Apple has many patents on gesture control and biometric tracking, but that does not indicate whether the ring will come out.
Along with the sensor patents the company received this week, it also received a number of patents related to automobiles. Has been dead since at least 2 months
