Those who can't afford a Samsung Galaxy S21 but want a 5G phone may be able to get a very cheap option with a little patience
That's because the affordable Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will be available in late 2020, offering a phone with the latest cell phone technology for about $180/£134 This figure translates to a price of 200,000 won for the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, according to Korea's ETNews
The report states that the Galaxy A22 5G will be available in late 2021, but it is not clear if this device will be available in the US or the UK
Currently, the Galaxy A21 starts at $199 in the US, while in the UK the refreshed Galaxy A 21S is available for £179, so it seems likely that the next model to replace the older device will be available in both countries
The report also claims that a slightly more expensive Galaxy A32 5G will be available in the first half of next year This is speculated to be a slightly better equipped model than the A22, but will still be much cheaper than buying a Galaxy S20 or Samsung Galaxy Note 20
There are already several options for 5G phones outside of the flagship models For those willing to pay a little more than these rumored prices, the $399 TCL 10 5G UW and $499 Pixel 4a 5G are particularly good choices
However, neither of these brands has the same presence as Samsung in the US or UK So while the A22 5G may not be the first, it could definitely be a much bigger deal than its rivals at launch
