The stunning Google Pixel5 video shows off the flagship we really want

It's the Pixel 4a's turn to debut on Monday (August 3), at least according to Google's online store teaser But that doesn't mean the Pixel 5 is still on the back burner

Courtesy of Incosive Labs, a new trailer has appeared on YouTube showcasing a concept design for Google's next flagship phone And it looks like a phone that Mountain View would be happy to release

This is because past Pixel flagships, despite their other strengths, have not always been satisfactory in terms of design However, Incosive Labs' concept design showcases a phone that addresses some of the complaints about the Pixel's looks

For starters, the Pixel 5 in this concept video has very small bezels This is a change from the Pixel 4, which maintained a slight bezel at the top of the phone to house both the front camera and the sensors needed for Google's Motion Sense feature But with the Pixel 5 reportedly eliminating the gesture control feature, Google will be able to use a punch-hole camera cutout on the phone's display while further shrinking the bezel And that is what Incosive Labs has achieved with their concept design

We hope Google makes the Pixel 5's colors a bit more vibrant than what we see in this video There's nothing wrong with the black and white options, and the video adds a Google-esque accent to the power button However, past Pixel models have also come in colors like Oso Orange and Not Pink, and hopefully the Pixel 5 will retain some of that playfulness

Those who flinched at the oversized camera array in the early Pixel 5 concept design should be relieved of their worries after watching this video The more orthodox square camera array is placed in the upper left corner of the back, which is orthodox for a modern phone This array houses two camera lenses and a flash, and is less obtrusive than those found on existing phones like the iPhone 11 Pro

Incosive Labs' video lays out a number of potential specs that seem to be based on rumors we've heard so far about the Pixel 5 The two lenses on the back are a dual 12 megapixel wide and ultra-wide camera, and the front camera is also 12 megapixel As rumored elsewhere, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset, which will allow Google to keep costs down while offering 5G connectivity Consistent with recent Google pricing research, the video puts the Pixel 5's starting price at $699

Will this design be similar to what Google is actually preparing for the Pixel 5? We will see the Pixel 4a first, but once that lower-priced phone ships, rumors about the Pixel 5 are expected to heat up ahead of the flagship phone's fall launch
