The OnePlus Nord image has just leaked and the iPhone SE is in trouble

With the launch of the OnePlus Nord just two weeks away, new images of the front and back of this mid-range phone have been released in the lead up to its July 21 launch

The rendered images come courtesy of Evan Blass' subscriber-only Patreon post You can see the images below, and they show us some strong evidence of what other rumors have been telling us about this new OnePlus phone They also show how OnePlus plans to surpass the iPhone SE

The front is mostly just the display However, the diamond-shaped notch in the upper left corner houses the twin selfie cameras This is a duet of a 32MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, which is rare for any kind of smartphone, let alone a mid-range device like the Nord

On the other hand, the iPhone SE has a large bezel on the front and a large chin with a Touch ID button Apple's phone also has a single 7MP front camera, which is sufficient Therefore, there is no super wide-angle option for selfies

The back is distinct from existing OnePlus devices like the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro The camera module, which was centered in the previous two models, has been moved to the left side of the phone, with all sensors positioned vertically According to previous leaks, these sensors will be a combination of a 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor

The iPhone SE has only one rear 12MP camera, although it can do a lot thanks to the A13 Bionic chip This includes portraits with Computational Photography, but does not offer an ultra-wide option

Otherwise, one can admire the phone's black color and the simple but attractive OnePlus logo in the center and lower center, while hoping that users will be able to choose from several colors

Also visible in this rendering of the OnePlus Nord is OnePlus' trademark alert slider on the right edge of the phone This is a very convenient way to switch between vibration and sound profiles, and has disappeared from essentially all phones except the OnePlus devices and the iPhone line So it's good to see OnePlus keeping that unique feature intact on its new lower-priced phones

We know that Nord will use an AMOLED display versus the iPhone SE's LCD panel and a 4,000mAh battery capable of 30W fast charging iPhone SE supports 18W charging, but requires optional accessories and is capable of 5W charging out of the box

The downside of the OnePlus Nord and iPhone SE is the Snapdragon 765G chipset It provides mid-range performance rather than top-of-the-line speed But instead, the OnePlus Nord offers 5G connectivity, whereas the iPhone SE is 4G only

The OnePlus Nord is expected to cost less than $500, but the exact price is not yet known; $499 is higher than the iPhone SE (2020) and the Google Pixel 4a's expected price of $349, but the Nord is $100 additional will likely offer more than that; on July 21, OnePlus will hold the world's first AR-based launch event, and users will be able to follow it via an app
