Apple's iPhone 12 may not be released until late November, a Cowen Investment Bank report claims
We have heard various rumors and tweets about a possible delay in the iPhone 12 launch However, this report via GizChina adds another month of waiting
Since Apple sources most of its iPhone components and manufacturing services from China, where COVID-19 was first identified and had its initial outbreak, it is no surprise that the pandemic is being blamed for the iPhone 12 delay Travel restrictions, factory closures, and closed borders have made it difficult for Apple employees to work with other employees in China to get iPhone 12 production ready for September and October shipments
However, a one-month delay is certainly not a major delay for Apple The company is still expected to manufacture four iPhone 12 models However, Apple fans may have to wait a little longer before they can get their hands on the device Cowen's report notes, "A month or two delay in timing won't matter in the long run"
Apple is by no means short of funds and can weather a month's delay In addition, Cowen's report predicts that shipments of the iPhone SE 2020, Apple's answer to models like the Pixel 3a, will remain strong throughout the year
Speaking of Pixel phones, not only Apple but also Google's Pixel 4a has reportedly been delayed from a July announcement to an August launch Google's budget phone was originally scheduled to launch in May or June
When the iPhone 12 arrives, it is expected to come in four screen sizes: the 54-inch iPhone 12, 61-inch iPhone 12 Max, 61-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and 67-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max models4 Both models will feature OLED displays and 5G connectivity, but the Pro model will reportedly feature a faster refresh rate of 120Hz
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max are also expected to feature two rear cameras, while the Pro model will have a triple rear camera array with LiDAR sensors
The iPhone 12 Pro model is also expected to feature Samsung's Y-OCTA display, which could make the device slimmer and lighter by housing the touch sensor layer in the display
We still have to wait a few months to see if all these rumors come true Until then, check out our iPhone 12 hub to see all the leaks in one place
