Star Wars Day (aka May 4) has finally arrived, a "holiday" that originated from the pun "May the force be with you" and was started by fans It has now been embraced by Lucasfilm and its owner, Disney, with both official and unofficial celebrations in honor of Star Wars
Disney began holding "Star Wars Day" at its theme parks in 2013, but because of its effective policy of segregation and social distancing, those events will not be held this year Instead, Star Wars Day will be celebrated remotely, made easier by Disney Plus
Some fans also celebrate the following day, May 5, as Revenge of the Fifth (a play on the title of the movie Revenge of the Sith) Some fans also celebrate May 6 as Revenge of the Sixth Both days celebrate the Sith Lords and villains of the Star Wars franchise, as opposed to the Jedi
