Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Must steal this awesome new life-saving feature from Google Pixel 4

Hey, Samsung You've probably been planning to upgrade the camera on your Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and perhaps even smarten up the included S Pen stylus But now Google has added a very cool feature to the Pixel 4 that could save thousands of lives

Staying ahead of competitors like Google's Pixel 4 smartphone and its entire Pixel series depends on the quality and breadth of its software features To this end, Google has introduced "Feature Drop" updates for the Pixel, providing new and exciting features on a much more regular basis than the usual OS update schedule

The standout feature here is Car Crash Detection, which allows the phone to recognize if it has been involved in a traffic accident, call local emergency services, and provide location information if necessary

This was originally a US-only feature as part of the Personal Safety app, but is now available in the UK and Australia The app asks if you need help if it detects a collision or rollover and allows you to respond with a tap or voice command The app can provide your location to emergency personnel if you are unable to respond, and we believe all Android phones should offer this essential feature

The update also adds a new feature to the power button By holding down the power button, users can look up payment cards, tickets, passes, and, if using the Pixel 4, medical information downloaded through Google Pay This is similar to double-tapping the side button on the iPhone to access Apple Wallet

Other features added to the new Feature Drop include new AR stickers for Google Duo voice calls, improved photo effects for the Pixel 4 selfie camera, and new Motion Sense air gestures to pause music on the Pixel 4 are

Users still hanging on to their Pixel 2 devices will be pleased to hear that they can now take advantage of Live Caption, Google's ingenious automated system for adding subtitles to all kinds of audio and video content without requiring an Internet connection
