Samsung's Own OS Leaks Galaxy S11 Camera Features and Galaxy Fold2 Details

After an APK teardown of the latest version of Samsung's Android flavor of One UI 20, XDA Developers has discovered some interesting new camera features that will be available on the Galaxy S11 (possibly named Galaxy S20) Director's View allows users to easily switch between the cameras available on the S11, and the phone will automatically track the selected subject

There is also Single Take Photo, which uses AI to detect the best moment to press the virtual shutter button, which works for selfies as well as pan shots for beautiful landscape shots and more This is similar to the Shot Suggestion mode launched in the Galaxy S10, which helps users frame photos of various subjects based on a library of photos and some basic rules about the composition of the shot Both this and Director's View were found in a more limited state within the previous One UI patch, but have now been expanded

Returning from previous Samsung phones, Pro Video is a recording mode with many customizable options, including shutter speed, ISO, and exposure It was once a staple of Samsung's camera app It was removed from the Galaxy S9, but now that we've jumped two generations, Samsung seems poised to bring back this beloved geeky feature

Brand new features for the S11 found in this version of One UI are bokeh effects named Artify, Mono, Side Light, Glitch, and Vintage The code strings alone do not tell us what these will look like, but most of the names give a good indication of what they can do when applied to a photo

The cherry on top of these other leaked information is one interesting news nugget about the Galaxy Fold 2's fast charging system, which is rumored to launch at the same time as the S11

According to the code, the Fold 2 will support a minimum of 25W and a maximum of 45W fast charging, which is the same as what the Galaxy Note 10 is capable of Unfortunately for users who want the fastest charging experience possible, Samsung sells the Note 10 with a 25W charging block by default, so if you want 45W speeds on your new foldable phone, you may have to pay up again
