Update: New leaked information reveals the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, color, price, and specs all
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has had a difficult road to market It was first leaked in April, and since then this phone has been Schrödinger's phone
As it stands, the Galaxy S21 FE will be available in January 2022, but only in select markets And now that CoinBRS has released what it claims to be marketing materials for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition, there is more evidence that this is indeed the case
Could the Galaxy S21 FE finally become a reality and make the list of best Android phones? It is important to take all leaked information with a pinch of salt, especially in this case where some of the marketing copy seems touch junky and un-Samsung-like Would Samsung's skilled marketing department really produce copy like "a screen so immersive that you forget what's real" or "look great and enhance the quality of your studio"?
Perhaps it holds the text After all, the launch is still months away
Taking the image at face value, we are promised a "processor that works well, so you can play well" - presumably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 found in the regular Galaxy S21 - and a "long-lasting battery" This move is made possible by the S21's slightly larger screen, from a 62-inch panel to 64 inches
The rear camera has a 64MP main lens, depth sensor, and ultra-wide angle sensor The perforated notch on the front will reportedly house a 32MP selfie camera
There is absolutely nothing wrong with these reported specifications Rather, as was the case with the excellent Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, it would not have been the case had this model been released in September
However, a January release date seems too late to have any significant impact Not only would the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 have likely been replaced by the Snapdragon 898 by that point, but the chip would have been transported to Samsung's own manufacturing plant for use in the Galaxy S22 series, which will reportedly launch in February
Thankfully, there are plenty of S21 FE replacements available right now, all of which offer a great balance of price and performance
However, if I were in management at Samsung, I would strongly recommend that they give the S21 FE one last postponement back to August 2022, where I would also suggest renaming it S22 FE For me, it is too late for the S21 FE to get the attention it deserves in its current form, and I suspect that deep down, Samsung knows that
