The best way to see today's Blue Origin launch may be because William Shatner, best known as the actor who played Captain Kirk in Star Trek, will be on board
The launch was scheduled for 10 am ET, but at this point it looks like it will be around 10:30 am ET Check out the live stream below
Shatner will board Blue Origin's New Shepherd rocket and boldly go where no one (his age) has gone before Blue Origin's second manned space flight was scheduled to launch yesterday, but was postponed due to high winds
However, today's (October 13) launch was approved and can be seen in its entirety via live stream Here's how to watch the Blue Origin launch and William Shatner's space flight
The launch will take place at Blue Origin's launch site near Van Horn, Texas The scheduled launch time is 9:00 am local time (10:00 am GMT/3:00 pm EST)
A live stream will begin at 8:30 am ET (1:30 pm PST), 90 minutes before launch, and can be viewed on Blue Origin's YouTube channel or in the embedded video below
Shatner will be joined by three other crew members on the trip: Glen de Vries, vice president of life sciences and healthcare at Dassault Systèmes; Audrey Powers, vice president of mission and flight operations at Blue Origin; and observation Chris Boshuizen, co-founder of the company Planet
The entire journey will take 11 minutes, and the four crew members will reach a height of 62 miles above the Kerman Line, the internationally agreed upon boundary of space The capsule will then spend several minutes in space in weightlessness before returning to Earth and landing at Blue Origin's West Texas facility
The crew will depart the Astronaut Training Center at 9:15 am ET and ascend the launch tower at 9:35 am ET to enter the capsule The capsule itself will land at 10:11 am ET and the hatch will open at 10:22 am ET
