The first previews of "Venom 2: The Killing Factor" have been released, and while the mood is generally positive, it feels as if something much bigger is afoot This is because those who have seen the film can't help but shout about the credits scene
But before we get to that, let's take a look at what Andy Serkis, director of "Venom 2," had to say when interviewed by IGN: "Look, it's the question on everyone's lips: People want to know if Venom will meet Spider-Man, but personally, it's never going to happen I'm just kidding, of course it will happen"
Serkis also noted that patience is key, noting: "If people want more Venom stories, jumping right into Spider-Man could mean missing out on a lot of great supervillain characters in the meantime So in a way, rushing to Spider-Man could be closing the door" [Because Spider-Man and Venom haven't crossed paths on film since Tobey Maguire's "Spider-Man 3 What we are seeing from the finale of "Loki" and the leaks of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is that the multiverse has expanded greatly and all the rules may soon be broken
But back to the Venom 2 reaction, Neil Vagg of GetYourComicOn tweeted, "DO NOT MISS THE CREDITS!" Nick tweeted that the film is "off the charts crazy," and "And holy crap, that post-credits scene!!!!" He concluded his tweet with
Similarly, Len Geekness called out: "Oh my god, stay with us through the credits" This was also tweeted by Josh Burton: "Stay for the end credits!"
All of this breathless pleading makes one wonder how much we are going to get out of this scene It could be absolutely huge for the Spiderverse
So, are you ready for a teaser that is more than a little exciting? The end credits scene could be a tie-in to Spider-Man: No Way Home
According to a screenshot posted online by @Spider_Leaks, a member of the audience claims that "Venom 2" is actually an MCU film, and the user also suggests that "if you stay until the middle of the credits scene" you will know more
Of course, unless you are willing to obtain these potential spoilers, we do not recommend hanging around the #VenomLetThereBeCarnage hashtag on Twitter
None of these tweeters are actually sharing spoilers or evidence of access to the film Footage may be circulating on various subreddits, as @bigscreenleaks claims the scene may already be online We are betting that Sony intends to make sure it is removed ASAP
Venom Let There Be Carnage will be released in theaters on October 1
