Hawkeye Trailer is here - There are 5 questions for the Disney Plus Show

The first trailer for Hawkeye has been released and our bows are full of questions Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, the series appears to be Renner's last as an active superhero In fact, it begins with him one step closer to saying, "I'm too old to do this"

The great news is that the trailer for the show, which will air on Disney Plus, gives a little preview of the Renner-Bishop dialogue Plus, it's wintertime, so the show will be holiday-themed However, for all that this clip offers, we are left with questions

Here are five things to know about "Hawkeye" on Disney Plus

The answer is probably yes, but the trailer begins with Clint parting ways with his family, worried about the new Hawkeye/Ronin who is causing a stir Yes, this seems to be a post-"Endgame" event, with Burton (mostly) relieved of his duties as an Avenger

But now that he is getting back into the action, we worry (again) about his family Yes, the Bartons have a history of attracting trouble, and with Yelena Belova still in the picture, we are not sure how good this show will be for the family

As for Kate Bishop (that new Hawkeye), there are a couple of examples we have seen in the comics First, we met her in "Young Avengers" and "Hawkeye" when the original Hawkeye died [And in the iconic Hawkeye film by Matt Fraction and David Aja, she and Hawkeye ran together, with the latter mentoring Hawkeye as the former's replacement But when she met Bishop this time, she already considered herself "the best archer in the world"

So how did she get that skill set?

The Christmas-inspired look and the many explosions would lead Hawkeye to ask, "Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?" which may spark the eternal debate of "Is it a Christmas movie?" Before this trailer hit, I never thought of Hawkeye as a "Christmas show," but the timing on the calendar (debuting the week of Thanksgiving) certainly fits that idea

That said, I am curious how this time of year fits into Barton and Bishop's story It makes some sense that they would inherit the bow and arrow as a gift, but to what extent does Hawkeye fit into the calendar frame?

Tom's Guide editor Tom Pritchard pointed out to me in Slack: Jeremy Renner wears a hearing aid in the "Hawkeye" trailer We don't remember that from the MCU, so obviously we're going to take more inspiration from the Hawkeye comic as well as the fraction/adja run story of giving up the bow and arrow and fighting street crime

The story of Hawkeye's hearing aid goes back to the comic where Hawkeye was stabbed in the ear with an arrow by a villainous clown But will we ever see this vile and violent act?

Burton learns sign language after this Will the "Disney Plus" series retell this story?

There are plenty of shadowy (you won't find a darker trailer) bad guys, but the trailer gives little away who Burton and Bishop fight

We already know that a clown played by Kazimierz Kazimierczak, aka Kazi, will be hunting Burton in the show We also expect the comic book villain Dracula Mafia in tracksuits to make an appearance

But how will they be portrayed? How dark will this show get?

Hawkeye will debut on Disney Plus on November 24, 2021
