Those who have been holding off on buying the new iMac 2021 in anticipation of a pro model may have to wait a little longer if new rumors are to be believed
Dylandkt, a regular Twitter tipster, claims that Apple will announce new Mac products with the M1X later this year, but a larger, more powerful iMac will unfortunately not be among them Apparently Apple does this to avoid competing models in order to attract attention, and delays in product launches have forced its hand
Dylandkt's track record is pretty good: he previously called out both the fact that Apple's first M1 iMac will be a low-power desktop and that the M1 chip will be in the iPad Pro 2021
This rumor also makes some sense, considering why Apple doesn't want to release a new iMac when the latest iMac is not even six months old On the other hand, if we look at the MacBooks that Apple released last year, the company updated its existing Intel-based MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro in March and announced a new M1 version in November
Regardless of what happens with the next iMac, there are still several Apple products rumored to be coming before the end of the year Among them are the 14-inch MacBook Pro 2021 and an upgraded version of the MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021, both of which are expected to feature Apple's rumored new M1X chip
The MacBook Air 2021 has also been teased, but the latest rumors suggest it may not appear until 2022 On the plus side, the same report suggests it may feature a mini LED display like the latest iPad Pro
