The Bluefin Fitness Task 20 is ready to use right out of the box Like all under-desk treadmills, it has casters on the top, making it easy to roll it under the desk when in use [There is an LCD screen at the top of the treadmill that displays pace, calories, distance walked, and time, and you can connect the treadmill to your smartphone via Bluetooth to use the Kinomap app or listen to music from the treadmill through the built-in speakers The handlebars can be raised and there is also a tablet holder so you can watch Netflix or follow a walking class with a third-party app

The treadmill can be controlled with a remote control attached to a wristband that can be worn while walking or with a smartphone app There are also six preset programs available, but they are all very similar and a bit confusing Nevertheless, it is a convenient way to mix things up if you are easily bored and have the patience to work through the various presets

The treadmill can be used with the handles up or down Like a theme park ride, the handlebars snap into place, making it safe to move fast on the treadmill That said, we noticed during our testing that the belt width of the treadmill is quite narrow, but with the handlebars up, this belt width seemed even narrower because the space to move on the treadmill is shorter It is also worth noting that the maximum speed of this treadmill is 8 km/h, a pace of about 12 minutes per mile

During testing, the Bluefin treadmill proved to be easy to use and thin enough to store when not in use Connecting the treadmill to the Kinomap app was easy, although the app itself is not particularly attractive Nevertheless, it is easy to view basic metrics and participate in various challenges

The treadmill itself ran smoothly and was relatively quiet It was easy to start and stop the treadmill from the remote control and easy to pause the treadmill when taking a short break to drink water The remote control makes it easy to start and stop the treadmill and pause it when taking a quick break for a drink of water Our tester was 170 cm tall and tripped over the side panel once or twice when not concentrating on walking Also, the tablet holder seems to be at a somewhat odd angle, almost flat, so if you want to see the entire screen you have to peer over the top of the handlebars
