Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 is almost here, ahead of months of leaks and rumors about what to expect at Samsung's keynote summer eventThe foldable phone is likely to be the focus of the July 26 product launch, but Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and other devices could also make an appearance, including the Watch 6
That unannounced smartwatch is the focus of a new rumor, this time from prominent tipster SnoopyTech If true, it could mean not only the return of a fan-favorite feature, but also one of the biggest Samsung smartwatches to date
As spotted by Android Authority, a tipster shared several high-quality renderings purporting to show off the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Some of the images feature the 40mm and 44mm models of the Galaxy Watch 6, while others highlight the 43mm and 47mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic variants
So far, the two smartwatch series have been nearly identical on the inside, with the Classic being designed more like a traditional watch; you can check out all the images on Imgur
Most interestingly, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic appears to have a rotating bezel This is a popular feature that Samsung removed from its smartwatch lineup with last year's Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in images of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, the bezel is raised around the center display, with grooves around the edges As has become standard on Samsung watches, there are two buttons on the right side of the device
Previously leaked renderings of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic pointed to the return of the rotating bezel on Samsung's next-generation smartwatch But now we have more reason to believe it will be exclusive to the Classic variant
The size options for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic mentioned in this new leak are also worth noting: the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic shipped in 42mm and 46mm; at 47mm, the larger Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be the largest Samsung smartwatch we have seen to date
Other rumors we have heard about the Galaxy Watch 6 series suggest a move to a curved glass display, a larger battery, potential support for blood sugar monitoring, and the ability to detect irregular heart rhythms
We'll have to wait another week and a half until Samsung Unpacked to hear more, but it looks like the Galaxy Watch 6 could potentially make our best smartwatch list In the meantime, if you're in the market for a new smartwatch, check out our guide on whether to pull the trigger on the Galaxy Watch 5 or wait for the Galaxy Watch 6
