We've been following the "Fallout" TV series buzz for a while now, and aside from a few leaks, not much information has been available Now, however, Amazon has given us our first look at the upcoming TV show on Prime Video
In a blog post, Amazon released a large number of new photos from the set of "Fallout" and gave us quite a bit of information about some of the new characters we will meet on the show
Admittedly, there is still a lot of information we don't know - Amazon says "stay tuned for more information" - but this is still a lot more than we knew before It also clears up some questions we had after seeing the leaked trailer at Gamescom 2023
Now let's discuss the characters Amazon has revealed in this first look at the new Prime Video TV show
First up is Lucy, played by Ella Purnell I knew that Parnell had been cast in the show, but did not know the name of the character she would play in Fallout Lucy, it turns out, is "an optimistic vault dweller with the spirit of any American" Given her "peaceful and idealistic nature" and her top billing in this first look, it seems likely that she is the show's protagonist Her father is Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), the supervisor of Vault 33 in Los Angeles
Aside from the inhabitants of the Vault, we also meet Maximus (Aaron Morten), a soldier in the Brotherhood of Steel; the big question from the Gamescom leaked trailer: will the "steel bond" be involved? It is unclear if Maximus will be a Fallout villain or if Lucy will be the first antagonist to eventually turn on her cause, but it is clear that the answer is "yes"
Finally, there is Ghoul, played by Walton Goggins He is described as a pragmatic and ruthless bounty hunter with a mysterious past While there is still much we do not know about the ghouls, it is possible that the ghouls played by Goggins are a subset of the ghouls called marked men These ghouls existed in an area called the Divide and were known for their red skin color; if the "Fallout" TV series heads from Los Angeles and Vault 33 to the Nevada border, this theory suddenly becomes a serious possibility
The new photos and character descriptions certainly portray what is expected, but there are still obvious questions Is Maximus a villain or an enemy who will become an ally? Is Goggins a marked man or does his skin just look a little red in this photo? These answers may not be answered until we see Episode 1
And these are just the questions we have from these new photos Aside from that, there are still many cast members we know nothing about, and it is unclear how closely these characters are connected Given the original story, there is no guarantee that the characters of Parnell, Morten, and Goggins will all be on screen together, but given that this is a TV show and not a vast RPG, it seems likely that they will be
However, according to Amazon, there are more sneak peeks to come, so stay tuned to Fallout TV Series Coverage for the latest news and updates!
