Max, the most powerful streaming service, has released a new trailer for “Dune”: and we're sure it will rank on our list of best Max shows!
In a year when Denis Villeneuve has already treated us to “Dune,” “Part 2” is coming out: a second trip into Frank Herbert's wonderful science fiction world seems a bit silly.
Sucked into the new “Dune” world, I was determined to stream “Dune” on day one: but the new look of the show, unveiled at the New York Comic Con panel, has me even more excited.
As immersive, stylish and intriguing as the series has been so far: I can't wait to see what's in store for us in Dune:Prophecy. Watch the new trailer below:
The trailer retains the mystique of the Bene Gesserit and includes a lot of conflict without saying too much.
Of all the action and intrigue, my favorite subplot is the use of the “voice” at the beginning that tries to make the viewer watch the entire 3-minute video. Nice touch, Max.
If you're as excited as I am, you'll be pleased to know that a release date has also been set for Dune: Prophecy. The series premieres Sunday, November 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and Max and will air weekly, so keep your Sunday night schedule open until December 22.
If you're not familiar with the plot of “Dune,” check out the “Prophecy” series: it's a prequel set thousands of years before Paul Atreides' meteoric rise.

Anderson and Brian Herbert: It takes place 10,000 years ago and centers on two Harkonnen sisters who fight forces that threaten the future of humanity and work to establish a sect that becomes the Bene Gesserit The story revolves around.
